Meeting the demand for higher outside air ventilation rates creates a humidity load that is difficult to control. Like temperature, unregulated indoor humidity can adversely affect the health and comfort of building occupants and cause premature building deterioration.
The Innovent LASER 1 dehumidification unit uses an air-to-air heat exchanger to pre-cool hot/humid incoming air in summer and reheat it after dehumidification. This process effectively controls humidity and minimizes energy costs, due to the “free precool” and “free reheat” processes.
Innovent’s LASER 2 dehumidification and energy recovery systems are designed to regulate humidity and improve indoor air quality by tempering fresh outdoor air drawn into the building with outgoing air. Air-to-air heat exchangers recapture and transfer energy to incoming air in every season, dehumidifying and cooling incoming summer air and heating incoming winter air. This energy recovery and transfer enables the system to significantly improve air quality while minimizing costs and fuel consumption. |
